| ANNASEMBLE Annasemble is an intergenerational community ensemble of mostly string instruments, under the music direction of Annemieke. HISTORY Originally a small intergenerational orchestra was led by Marjorie Hoffer. After several changes a small group of eager musicians pulled together and formed the Annasemble. The ensemble performed annually for the Special Education Art Auction. In 2006 Annasemble rejuvenated as young players joined and as the rehearsal schedule intensified. CONCERTS at The Thomas Center 2006 - Mostly Baroque music, featuring young soloists: Amelyse Arroyo and Daniel Herrera. 2007 - Music through the ages, including the Concerto for 4 violins and orchestra by Antonio Vivaldi 2008 - A Mother's Day Concert for Peace, featuring a number of violin and fiddle soloists as well as a rendition of Ashokan Farewell with the reading of the Sullivan Ballou letter from the Civil War 2009 - French Chansons, with guest vocalists: Anjum Ahmed, Rixta Calixte and Vivia Chengshi Annasemble prides itself to embrace all musicians, no matter their experience.
